Social Worker

Hello! I am excited to be part of the JCARE family this year. I am assigned solely to our campus, working closely with the campus counselor, teachers, support staff and can see/assist all students and families.   

I received my bachelor’s degree in Sociology at TAMUSA. After graduating, I worked with Communities in School for 6 years on several NISD campuses. I was able to build a solid foundation on social work issues within the educational environment during this time.  I also had the opportunity to return to my studies and obtain a Master of Social Work at UTSA. Go Roadrunners!   

My goal is to assist students to be successful academically by providing them with a safe learning environment. Aside from assisting students with their educational goals, I work with students to ensure social and emotional wellness. We work together to build positive relationships with our peers, cope with the challenges life can bring and help remove any barriers that may be in the way from graduation.
